He was predeceased by: his parents, Selmer Sivertson and Olga Sivertson (Iverson); his wife Mavis Holen; and his siblings, Bud Sivertson, Sanford Sivertson, Lloyd Sivertson, Glenn Sivertson, Norman Sivertson and Evie Sivertson.
He is survived by: his children, Penny Backman (Guy) of Souris, Pamie Wettlaufer (Rob) of Bottineau, Kathy Lesmann (Lyle) of Landa and Randy Sivertson (Lory) of Rolette; his grandchildren, Troy Backman, Jason Wettlaufer, Bradley Lesmann, Kayla Wettlaufer-Coleman, Katie Lesmann-Gefroh and Amanda Backman-Lorenz; his great grandchildren, Kali Backman, Carter Coleman, Jocelyn Wettlaufer, Isabell Coleman, Olivia Lesmann, Braelynn Mavis Coleman, Kenly Gefroh, Jayden Gefroh and Logan Gefroh; and his siblings, Kenny Sivertson of Bottineau, Florence Pedie of Bottineau, Shirley Kofoid of Bottineau and Gladys Stevens of Valley City. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
