He was predeceased by: his parents, Sigrud Thomspon and Hannah Thomspon (Nelson); his siblings, Glenn Thompson (Marion), Arnett Thompson (Margaret) and Avis Giffey (Donald); and his son Michael.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia Jeanne Rankin; his children, Randy of Lucerne Valley, CA, Ronald (Bev) and Lorraine (Kelly Nelson); his grandchildren, Kirsten LaLonde (John), Bruce Thompson (Meghann), Brett Thompson, Chris Thompson (Tonia) and Dustin Thompson (Allison); and his great grandchildren, Madison LaLonde, McKenzie LaLonde, Miles Thompson, Jeran Thompson, Reese Thompson, Natalie Thompson, Odin Thompson and Dax Thompson. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, and friends.
Social distancing, facial coverings and COVID restrictions will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Our Saviors Lutheran, Stanton, ND; Zion Lutheran Church, Towner, ND; or charity of donor's choice.
