He was predeceased by: his wife Robin; his daughter Donna Lee; his parents, Wilfred Ovitt and Mary Pearson; his siblings, Allan Ovitt, Gary Ovitt and Kathy Helland; his sister-in-law Kathy Legard; and also, Roland McCrea and Donna McCrea.
He is survived by: his children, Russell (Jacee) and Angela (Rick); his grandchildren, Dezarae of Plains, Beau of Plains, James of Plains and Mariah of Plains; his brothers, Rodney, Dennis (Helen) of Plains, Tim (Karen), Jay, Winnie Welty (Stephen) of Plains and Susan Kankelfritz (Mike); his siblings-in-law, Julie (James) of Plains and Toby McCrea of Plains; and his close friends, Mike Cummings, LaPointe Cummings and Glen Cummings. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
