Steve Armstrong wrote a sympathy message

“I am saddened to learn of DeElla's passing. DeElla and my mother Nadine Guttu were classmates in school and remained friends for a lifetime. My mother passed away in 2001; however, DeElla and I exchanged Christmas cards for many years. She shared many stories with me about life in Bottinueau back in the day, stories that I greatly appreciated and enjoyed hearing. My late wife and I made it a point to visit DeElla whenever we were back in Bottineau. Steve Armstrong, writing from Bigfork, MT”
