He is survived by: his former wife Donna; his children, Karl Newell (Leanne), Heather Steffl (Brian) and Jennifer Gallaway (Mel); his sister-in-law Gail Newell; his nephew Robert Newell (Brenna); his grandchildren, Lance Steffl (Skye), Allison Martindale (Nate), Kent Steffl, Erika Gallaway, Alex Newell and Claire Buhrow (Daniel); and also, Peter Koolis (Cheryl), Stephen Koolis, Karen Chambers (Jeff) and Robert Koolis (Stephanie). He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
