It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Melech Jr. (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on January 12, 2025, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, William Melech Sr. and Agnes Melech; his wife Illa Mae of Mary's High School; his son William Melech; and his sister Mildred Haluzak.
He is survived by: his children, Therese Smith (Bill), Joseph Melech (Monica), Mary Melech, Thomas Melech, Jeanne Stone, Maureen Schelinder (Ralph) and John Melech (Tara); and his sisters, Dorothy Kulokoski, Orovilla Ness, Mabel Keller, Diane Wentz, Carol Fricke and Sandy Highley. He is also survived by parents have 12 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 2 great- great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home (3723 Lockport St, Bismarck, ND 58503). A rosary was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, January 21st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary (825 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck, ND 58501).
