It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Stastny of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Mandan, North Dakota, who passed away on March 30, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Sr. Stastny and Mary Stastny (Schmidt); his wife Marlene Heinrich; his parents-in-law, Nick and Katherine Heinrich; his sister Linda Stastny; his brothers-in-law, Richard Haugsdal, Ralph Bullinger and Ben Bullinger; and his close friends, Bill and Kay Braxmeyer.

He is survived by: his children, Kevin Stastny of Mandan and Kim Friedt (Jason) of Bismarck; his grandchildren, Brandi Hardy (Tiffany) of Denver, Alex Stastny (Lexi) of Bismarck, Jake of Bismarck, Kaylee of Bismarck and Lily Friedt of Bismarck; his great grandchildren, Kota, Evalyn and Jasper; his brother Robert Stastny (Candice); his siblings-in-law, Lucille Bullinger of Mandan, Alice Bullinger of Mandan, Leona Haugsdal of Mandan, Arlene Fried (Jim) of Mandan and Leo Heinrich (Vicki) of Bismarck; his close friends, Elmer and Sue Mattson; and his sister-in-law Karen Stastny. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
