She was predeceased by: her parents, Adolph Engh and Thora Engh (Sorlie); her husband Wilfred "Bill" Gates; her daughter Julie Burbidge; her sons-in-law, Kenneth Moberg and Fred Burbidge; and her siblings, Amy Lehn, Arnold Engh, Nora Gahn, Earl Engh Sr., Robert Engh and Karen Haskins.
She is survived by: her children, Sally Moberg, Billie Moberg (Emmet), Jack Gates (Susan) and Tammy Swenson; and her grandchildren, Peter Moberg (Michelle), Penny Mathews (Mark), Eric Moberg (Leah), Brad Moberg (Shannon), Jami Burbidge (Hans), Llonna Burbidge (Cory Heath), Lisa Trihub (Lance), Kim Melin (Ryan), Matt Gates (Lexi) and Emma Swenson. She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
