He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Schmidt and Magdalen Schmidt (Duchscherer); his brothers, Edward Schmidt and Victor Schmidt; and his niece Sandee Esquivel.
He is survived by: his siblings, Daniel Schmidt (Coleen) of Rapid City, SD, Patrick Schmidt (Karen) of Burlington, ND, Gerald Schmidt of Mandan, ND, Jeffery Schmidt (Nancy) of Minot, ND, Ali Coleman (Fred) of Minot, ND and Debora Seright (Danny) of Towner, ND. He is also survived by 20 nieces and nephews and 44 great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 10:00 AM. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 27th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Pro-Cathedral of St. Mary, Bismarck (825 E Broadway Ave, Bismarck, ND 58501).
