He is survived by: his children, Richard Oliver II (Bismarck), Molly (Brett), Kleinschmidt (Australia), Sarah (Eric), Johnson (Bismarck), Elisabeth (Jim), Davis (Chicago), Mark (Olga), Oliver (Bismarck) and Katherine Oliver (Chicago); his former wives, Suzanne Merz Oliver and Leslie Bakken Oliver; his brother Donald Oliver (Detroit); his girlfriend Karen Treadway (Sioux Falls); and his close friend Gary Groth (Milwaukee). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
