We bid farewell to Raymond Grabar Jr. (Bismarck, North Dakota), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 19, 2025 at the age of 96. He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond A. Grabar Sr. and Mary Mildred Grabar (Wiggens); his wife Loretta Dick of Mary's Catholic; his daughter-in-law Judy Grabar; his grandson Eric Jantzer; his great grandchild Kalysta Grabar; his brother William Grabar; and his siblings-in-law, Paticia Grabar, Angeline Vogle, Eunice Gion, Tony Klein, Raymond Vogle and Paul Gion.
He is survived by: his children, John Grabar of Bismarck, Ardyth Renden (Mike) of Bismarck, Denise Cowan (Bob) of Naples, FL, Steven Grabar (Barb) of Fargo, ND, Pamela Jantzer (Joel) of Overland Park, KS, Susan Thompson (Tracy) of Scottsdale, AZ, Mark Grabar (Stacy) of Topeka, KS and Patricia Butzer (Al) of Keller, TX; and his sister-in-law Cecelia Klein. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Church of the Ascension (1825 S 3rd St, Bismarck, ND 58504). A vigil service will be held on Wednesday, January 29th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, January 30th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers in memory of Raymond A. Grabar please make memorials to the Light of Christ Catholic Schools in Bismarck and/or the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
