With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melanie Svanes (Bismarck, North Dakota), who passed away on February 22, 2025 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Melanie may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the echoes of her kindness, the warmth of her embrace, and the light of her enduring love.
She was predeceased by: her mother Carol Svanes (Schlosser); and her sister Joy. She is survived by: her father Rolf Svanes; her sister Denice Bohlman (Terry); and her nieces, Michele Page (Dustin) and Cindi Houtkooper (Adam). She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and staff and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Parkway Funeral Service (2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND 58503). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
