She was predeceased by: her parents-in-law, Olga Gossett (Zabel) and Ira Gossett; her siblings-in-law, Betty Downs, Ivan Downs, Robert Wass, Lyle Gossett and Tom Gossett; and her great grandchild Liliana Star Bowling.

She is survived by: her husband Ed; her children, Dale Gossett (Cathy), Annelle Fahlsing (Gene), Valerie Bondeson (Dean) and ReNae Gossett; her grandchildren, Todd Fahlsing (Cyrilla), Kasey Vair (Michael), Michael Gossett (Jill), Rachelle Schommer (Aaron), Jenelle Bortke (Paul), Jill Bowling (Sean), Kelly Bates (Kevin), Tara Lara (Frank), Justin Gossett, Alisha Gossett and Ty Lesmann; and her great grandchildren, Rowan, Samuel, Jay, Kale, Ryan, Haven, Emersyn, Dru, Judson, Tanner, Greyson, Scarlette, Everett, Levi, Blake, Royce, Raya, Ford, Emilee, Hunter, Marcus and Hudson.

Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home (3723 Lockport St, Bismarck, ND 58503). A rosary was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A memorial service was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

“LaVerne was very like another Mom to me throughout my past 68 years. Except she never scolded or spanked me. I feel she loved me very nearly as much as she loved all of here children. I am so blessed to have 2 of the best Moms in the universe. I will miss her support, laughter, and generosity. I wish to extend my long distance love to all of her dear family and especially to Eddy who very much loved, raised and supported me from the time I was 14 to now. Peace and blessings, Pat Sorenson”
