It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Josephine Eckman of Bismarck, North Dakota, who passed away on June 14, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Josephine Eckman to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Catherine Welder (Mathern) and Mike Welder. She is survived by : her husband Marvin Eckman; her children, Jackie Eckman (Casey Kimes), Jennifer Eckman (Adam Kilzer) and Dan Eckman (Alina Austin-Eckman); her grandchildren, Jeffrey Kilzer, Maximus Eckman, Silas Eckman, Madeline Kimes, Elizabeth Kilzer and Cassiel Eckman; and her siblings, Tony Welder (Kathy), Joe Welder (Bernie), Mike Welder (Peggy) and Shirley McMullen (Pat). She is also survived by numerous nephews and nieces.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bismarck Funeral Home (3723 Lockport St, Bismarck, ND 58503). A rosary was held on Friday, June 21st 2024 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, June 22nd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Corpus Christi (1919 N 2nd St, Bismarck, ND 58501).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Josephine's memory to Germans from Russia Heritage Society or the Alzheimer's Association.
