He is survived by: his friends, Kenny and Pudge Cox; his wife Gail; his daughter Stephanie Weiand (David); his grandsons, Zachary and Aidan; his siblings, Fred Hayes (Ruth) and Effie Rucker; his sister-in-law Ann Hayes; his cousin Tom Morrow (Billie); his father-in-law James Ulrich; his brother-in-law Bob Doll; and also, Larry Ulrich (Darlene), Susan Richter, Clay Ulrich (Rhonda) and Dennis Ulrich (Carlene). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other extended family and close friends.
