With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John B. Mears of Bismarck, North Dakota, born in Omaha, Nebraska, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 2, 2024 at the age of 76. He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Mears and Alpha Mears (Fraiser); his siblings, Richard (Donna), Avis Vanderpool (Harold), Robert (Marge), Bill and Jim (Paula); and his sister-in-law Janet Mears.
He is survived by: his wife Lila Raile; his children, Amy Hoffman (Joseph) and Brice (Jordyn); his grandchildren, Mason Hoffman, Jack Mears, Nicholas Hoffman, Nolyn Mears and Piper Mears; his brother Fred Mears; his sister-in-law Judy; and his stepson Bill Spry. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
