He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Ackerman and Katherine Ackerman (Gimbel); and his sister Edna. He is survived by: his daughters, Coleen Patience (David) and Kimberly Schoepp (DuWayne); and his grandchildren, Shelly Anderson (Jay), Jeff Patience (Shannon) and Jaramie Schoepp (Jennifer). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
