She was predeceased by: her father William Mees; and her sisters, Ardyce Reisenauer and Janice Widenhoefer. She is survived by: her mother Ella Mees (Hintz); her son Scott (Leanne); her grandchildren, Danyell Peterson, Amber (Bill), Ashlynn, Ben, Ryan and Aaron Buchholz; and her daughter Sue Buchholz. She is also survived by sisters and brothers-in-law.

Memorials may be given to the Central Dakota Humane Society or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church.
