He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Ely and Alice Ely (Rockey); his siblings, Robert Ely and Betty Ehli; his siblings-in-law, MaryAnne Kelley, Gene Cook, William Cook, Robert Kelley and Joe Ehli; and his grandson Christopher Sayler.
He is survived by: his wife Audrey Cook; his children, Sue (Mel Lippert) and Dale (Shannon); his grandchildren, Matt Sayler (Lauren), Jenna Pokrzywinski (Zach), Lindsay Lippert, Lexi Ely Feichtinger (John), Cameron Clark, Samantha Clark and Ian Ely; his great grandchildren, Jake, Teddy Sayler, Claire, Leo Pokrzywinski and Rory Feichtinger; his brother Erv Ely (Norma); and his sisters-in-law, Nancy Ely, Karen Cook and Elaine Cook.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Parkway Funeral Home (2330 Tyler Pkwy, Bismarck, ND 58503).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to McCabe United Methodist Church or Papa's Pumpkin Patch.
