He was predeceased by: his parents, James Bowers and Margaret Bowers (Bergstrom); his brother-in-law David Vigen; his niece Laura Nelson McShane; and his brother Paul Bilstad.
He is survived by: his siblings, Barb Olson (Don), Peter Bilstad (Sandy), Mary Vigen (late David) and Margy Nelson (Rick); and his godchildren, Kelsey Wagner (Ledger) of Boise, ID, Corey Huson of Victoria, MN and Paul Bilstad. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the American Diabetes Association or a charity of the donor's choice.
