He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva Abel and Nick Abel; his siblings, Ronnie Abel, Jerome Abel, David Abel and Bernadine Abel (Hancock); and his nephew Joshua Abel.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Pfeilschiefter (Pfeilschiefter) of Leo's Church; his daughter Charlene Syverson (Kollin) of Washburn, ND; his grandchildren, Kara Bender-Loyd (Josh), Kyle Syverson (Ava) and Kyra Syverson Block (Ryan); his child Jackie Espy (Espy) of Mandan, ND; his grandchildren, Brittany Hugelen and Nick Hugelen; his child Stacey Abel (Karla) of Minot, ND; his grandchildren, Morgan Abel Langan (Taylor), Marina Abel Niess Jacob (Matthew) and Maleah Abel; his daughter Sandra Jacobson (Steve); and his grandchildren, Dawson Abel (Enya), Braxton Jacobson and Alenna Jacobson. He is also survived by his four children; twelve grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.
