He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Westby and Laura Westby (Skardet); his wife Rose Jensen; his parents-in-law, Marvin and Florence Jensen; his son Danny; his grandson Tarin Westby; his brothers, Ardele and Harold; and his siblings-in-law, Violet Malik, Donald, Norman and Darrell Jensen.
He is survived by: his children, Dale Westby Jr. of Bismarck, JoAnn Bennett of Bismarck, Ronald Westby (Jenny) of Fair Grove, MO and Teresa Myers (Fred) of Bismarck; his great grandchildren, Aryca Bennett (Josh King), Hayden, Ava and Emery; and his grandchildren, Savannah Ness (Jeremy), Remington, Erin Westby, Coleman Dees (Erin), Sophia, Adeline, Tyler Myers, Kristian Skistad and Nicole Fettig (Griffen).
