He was predeceased by: his parents, Lola Brannan, (Wilson) and Daniel C. Brannan, Sr.; his son Jon; and his sisters, Gloria and Jackie.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Burton; his son Mark; his granddaughter Kesha (Blake); his great grandchildren, Jetleigh and Ezrah; and his brother-in-law Lyle Anderson.
