He was predeceased by: his parents, Franz Nuss and Karoline Nuss (Bengert); his wife Bernadette Hunkele; his children, Irmgard, Alexander and Michael; and his siblings, Peter, Anna Marie and Eugenia.
He is survived by: his daughter-in-law Debbie Nuss; his children, Donald Nuss (Karen), Frank Nuss, Diane Kuehn (Brian) and John Nuss (Julie); his grandchildren, Shanon Gerding (Steve), Michael Nuss, Theresa Meidinger (Casey), Benjamin Nuss (Megan), Kristin Nuss (Ryan Knapton), Annie Nuss (Charles Coulter), Sarah Kuchta (Drew), Dustin Kuehn (Ellie), Heather Lindsley (Jerry), Christopher Nuss (Sarah), Joshua Nuss (McKinzie) and Jacob Nuss (Kyra); and his brother Franz Nuss. He is also survived by great-grandchildren; one great, great grandchild.
He was devoted to Bernadette and cared for her faithfully through her battle with Alzheimer's until her passing in 2019.
