He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Emter and Barbara Emter (Doll); his siblings, Agnes Glaser, Perpetua Emter, Ardella Gehring, Rosie Hellman, Thomas Emter and Eugene Emter; and his siblings-in-law, Marge Emter, Ed Glaser, Clarence Glaser, Leo Gehring, Joe Hellman and Jim Horner.

He is survived by: his wife Christine Sitter; his son Jason Emter; his sisters, Delphia Horner and Gladys Glaser; and his sister-in-law Arlene Emter.
