She was predeceased by: her father Harold Enstad; her sister Cathy Meyer; and her former husband Fred Briss. She is survived by: her mother Virginia Enstad (Werle) of Pekin, ND; her husband Loren Alfson; her children, Lisa Short (Jerome) of McHenry, ND, Sheri Fischer (Michael) of Wing, ND, Craig Briss (Tiffany) of Cooperstown, ND and Lori Nelson (Chris) of Towner, ND; her grandchildren, Krista Denny (Justin), Jakenda Short, Kaleb Short, Hannah Fischer, Makennah Fischer, Savannah Fischer, Martyn Fischer, Joshua Briss, Rylan Briss (Kayce) and Kaylyn Briss; her great grandchildren, Harlyn Denny, Nevaeh Briss and Waylon Briss; and her sister Karen Hjelseth (Wayne) of Spearfish, SD. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
