He was predeceased by: his parents, Bridget Schutt (Keller) and Joe Schutt; his parents-in-law, Albert and Anna Freitag; his brother Jack Schutt; and his grandchildren, Casey, Corey Schutt (Kevin) and Skyler Schutt (Keith).

He is survived by: his wife Alberta; his sons, Kevin (Shawnlin) and Keith (Marianne); his grandchildren, Christopher (Andrea), Anna Graves (Mitch) and Bryck; his great grandchildren, Carson, Myles and Declan Schutt (Christopher); his grandchildren, Hollis and Rowan Graves (Anna); and also Alberta.
