He was predeceased by: his parents, John Schlafman and Laura Schlafman; his brother Loren; and his grandson Devan Schlafman. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Schlafman of Killdeer; his sons, Michael (Julie) of Appleton, WI, Mark (Linda) of Fargo and Paul (Deanna) of Farmington, MN; his grandchildren, Leah, Lexi and Parker; his sons, Hadley, Payton, Josh, Jace and Niko; and his sisters, Elaine Wahl of Turtle Lake, ND. and Linda Harr of Turtle Lake, ND.. He is also survived by his family, friends.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Prairie View Church of God (2200 2nd Ave NW, Beulah, ND 58523). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, February 6th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery (1825 46th St, Mandan, ND 58554).
