He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pfennig and Margaret Pfennig (Koehler); his wife Lea Ida Benz; his siblings, Theophil, Jacob, Theodore, Friedebert, Johnnas, Walter Pfennig, Ernestina Morast, Irene, Martha, Frieda Jose and Margaret Lang; and his son-in-law Danny Dinkins.
He is survived by: his daughters, Gwen Dinkins, Glenda Schoch (Jeff), Kathy Wahl (Bill), Karen Pundt (Jim) and Kaylen Kessler (John); his grandchildren, Kana Dinkins (Lilly), Amy Westman (Jeremy), Kelly Melchior (Kira), Lisa Ahlskog (Scott), Karla Hawke (Ryan), Shanna Haugen (Josh), Bobby Kessler, James Kessler (Jennifer Lyn), Heather Kessler, Michelle Christie (Clayton) and Jennifer Kessler; his stepgranddaughter ShaLee Decker (Justin); and his sisters, Hulda Erdman of Bismarck, ND and Loraine Guelll of Tigard, Oregon.. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren.
The family requests that memorials be made to Zion Lutheran Church, in Beulah, ND.
