He was predeceased by: his parents, August Riegel and Martha Riegel (Stern); his sisters, Ruby, Gladys and Linda; and his sister-in-law Dinah Riegel.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Dschaak of Beulah; his son Mark Riegel (DeAnn) of Beulah; his grandsons, Austin of Beulah and Cruz of Beulah; his siblings, Eldora Sailer (Eugnene) of Zap, Leona Hertz (Don) of Bismarck and Tim Riegel of Bismarck; and his brother-in-law Elmer Sailer of Beulah. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
