He was predeceased by: his parents, Friedebert Benz and Emma Benz (Zeller). He is survived by: his wife Adella Benz (Della); his children, Matthew Benz (Amy), Laura Benz (Beulah) and Marsha Kensok (Mike); his grandchildren, Amber (Jeff), Justin Benz St, Cassie Jones (Spencer) of Wamego, KS, Lucas Kensok of Fargo, ND and Noah (Tiffianie); his great grandchildren, Ty, Hayden, Hadley Jones, Austin, Emma and Katie Pacewic; his fathers-in-law, Myron Hafner (Carrie), Herman Hafner (Susan) and David Hafner; and his uncle Helmuth Pfennig. He is also survived by one niece, two nephews and numerous foster brothers and sisters.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorials to the Zion Lutheran Church, Beulah ND.
