He was predeceased by: his parents, John C. Schmidt and Pauline Schmidt (Miller); his siblings, Frank, John, David, Alice, Betty Brinster and Rose Wolf; his brothers-in-law, Eugene Brinster, Leonard Buresh and Albert Godlevsky; and his nephews, Edward Brinster, Clyde Brinster and David Wolf.
He is survived by: his adoptive children, Lisa Ann and Douglas Patrick; his wife Regina Wock (Gina); his children, Lisa Ann Schmidt of Dickinson and Douglas Patrick Schmidt (Amy) of Moorhead, MN; his grandchildren, Tristen Schmidt of Belfield, Chase Schmidt and Kajer Schmidt of Moorhead, MN; his siblings, Edward Schmidt (Pat) of Dickinson, Leo Schmidt (Margaret) of San Jose, CA, Ann Buresh of Florissant, MO, Leona Godlevsky of Dickinson, Lena Oberlander (Dean) of Gillette, WY and Edna Privratsky (Bob) of South Heart; and his siblings-in-law, Kathy Schmidt of Belfield, Jean Schmidt of Dickinson and Tony Wolf of Dickinson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be given to the KC Council 6310, Belfield, ND for the Vocation Scholarship Fund in George's name.
