He is survived by: his close friend LouAnn Slater of Belcourt; his stepchildren, Marshall Allery of Belcourt, Edward Allery of Belcourt, Margie Poitra (Kevin) of Dunseith, Michael Roy Jr. of Lake Tahoe, Calif, James "Cubby" Jr. LaRocque (Valerie) of Belcourt, Brian LaRocque (Renee) of Belcourt, Brent LaRocque (Tina) of Bismarck and Lynn LaRocque of Belcourt; his godchildren, Amanda LaFountain of Fargo, Jackie Martin of Minot and Chani LaRocque of Belcourt; and also, Travis Slater and Brexli Jeanotte. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
