He was predeceased by: his parents, George Martell and Mary Martell (Pays); his siblings, Rose Sutton, Clifford, Patrick, George Jr., Raymond and William; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Sutton, Stan Patnaude and Raymond "Picky" Belgarde.
He is survived by: his sons, Robert (Keri) of St. John, Jason (Layna) of Belcourt and Wesley of Belcourt; his wife Barbara Martell of Belcourt; his daughter Tamera Martell of St. John; and his siblings, Frank of Belcourt, Gilbert of Belcourt, Theresa Patnaude of Belcourt, Betty Marcellais (Richard) of Belcourt, Carol Belgarde of Belcourt, Stella Renault (Gary) of Belcourt and Sandra Martell of Belcourt. He is also survived by ten grandchildren; eight great grandchildren.
