He was predeceased by: his parents, John Parisien and Rose Parisien (McGillis); his grandchildren, Zachery Taylor Parisien and Johanna Marie Allard; his siblings, Tom, Stanley "Sonny", George, Charlie, John, Dorothy, Helen, Lucy, Metha, Laura, Irene, Alice and Viola; and also Emil DeCoteau.
He is survived by: his wife Anita Brunelle; his children, Leonard Jr. of Belcourt, ND, Kelly (Gail) of Belcourt, ND and Jeff (Denise) of Belcourt, ND; his close friend Mable DeCoteau; his daughter Jolene Parisien of Minot, ND; his close friend Mabel DeCoteau; his brothers, Vincent, James, Joe and Raymond Parisien; and also, Vernon, Danny and Lanette. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
