He was predeceased by: his grandparents, William "Fred", Genevieve Schindler, Roy and Marion Trottier; his aunt Joan Alvord; his nephew Isaac LaVallie; and his godchildren, Curtiss "CJ" Thomas Jr., Casket Bearers, David St. Claire Jr., Howard Longie Jr., Troy Trottier, Dean Azure, Shannon Hajicek and Wrangler Nadeau.
He is survived by: his parents, Charles Trottier and Sharon Trottier (Schindler); his wife Tara Samuelson; his children, Dalton Trottier (Anna) of Fargo, ND, Brody Trottier of Belcourt, Laney Trottier of Lolo, MT and Timber Trottier of Belcourt, ND; his siblings, Tresa Trottier of Belcourt, ND, Shawna Trottier of Belcourt, ND and Troy Trottier of Fargo, ND; his uncle Sarge Schindler (Rhonda) of Las Vegas, NV; his aunt Leanne Shindler of Belcourt, ND; and his godsons, Ian LaVallie and Dustin Trottier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
