He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred J. Dockter and Martha Dockter (Pfahl); his stepmother Katherine Dockter (Martell); and his sisters, Viola Diede (Reinhold), Wholla Dockter, Frieda Wiedenmayer (Ervin), Lorraine Spitzer (Marvin) and Ruth Nehlich (Otto).
He is survived by: his wife Lorraine Weisser; his children, Daryl Dockter (Deb) of Sioux Falls, SD and Janet VanKooten (Gerry) of Sterling, AK; his grandchildren, Karoline Bootsma (Carl), Nathan Dockter (Sarah), Daryn Dockter (Candace), Crystal VanKooten (Ben Coon) and Kara VanKooten; and his great grandchildren, Carson Bootsma, Karrie Bootsma, Christian Bootsma, Emily Dockter, Jonathan Dockter, Brielle Dockter, Lydia Dockter, Solomon Dockter, Ezra Dockter, Sabrina VanKooten-Coon and Paul VanKooten-Coon.
