Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Dale Shields of Arthur, North Dakota, born in Fargo, North Dakota, who passed away at the age of 87, on May 25, 2021. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Shields and Annette Shields (Sullivan); his wife Marie Shields (Madsen); and his brother Don. He is survived by: his children, John of Kindred, Chuck of Arthur and Jodi Barkdoll (Rob) of Gilbert, MN; his grandchildren, Sara Fitzpatrick (Jeff), Andrew Shields, Alex Shields, Taylor Barkdoll and Jake Barkdoll; his great grandchildren, Keelin, Grace and Ben Fitzpatrick; his sister Fran Fetters (Shields) of Covina, CA; and his parents-in-law, David Madsen (Patsy), Ken Breidenbach (Ida), Sharon Madsen and Mavis Madsen. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Memorials in lieu of flowers can be sent to Hospice of the Red River Valley or charity of choice.
