We are sad to announce that on November 9, 2022, at the age of 86, Helen Gehrke of Aneta, North Dakota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Torris Hanson and Thora Hanson (Kvamme); her son-in-law Grant Wiest; her siblings, Roger Hanson and Marjorie Hanson; and her brothers-in-law, Earl Gehrke, Gene Gehrke and Norman Aslakson.
She is survived by: her husband Charles Gehrke; her daughters, Stephanie Engberg (Randy) of Grand Prairie, TX, Patricia Wiest (Grant) of Herried, SD and Janelle Gehrke of Bondurant, IA; her grandchildren, Nicholas (Prita), Brandon, Hannah Engberg, Adam, Luke, Mallory Wiest, Nyanti and Olivia Gehrke; her siblings, Orvin Hanson and Phyllis Trostad (Richard); and her sisters-in-law, Gretchen Hanson, Dorothy Gehrke, Irene Halverson (David), Bonnie Gehrke and Juliet Aslakson.
Helen was an active member of Sundahl Lutheran Church, Rugh Homemakers, and the American Cancer Society.
