He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Smaaladen and Alvina Smaaladen; his wife Eleanor Frandsen; his children, Terry Erickson (Wes) of Hunter, ND, Terinne Berg (Al) of Fargo, ND, Steven Smaaladen (Marsha) of Aneta, ND and Clay Smaaladen (Jeanna) of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Seth (Micki), Marshall (Brandy), Hope, Wyatt Erickson (Anna), Kyle (Meredee), Paul Berg (Leah), Jessica Larson (Kris), Christopher (Katrina), Justin Smaaladen, Zachary (Rachel) and Zane Smaaladen; his great grandchildren, Sutton, Grayson, Lannyn Larson, Anastasia Smaaladen, Vivian, Cruz Berg, Ella, Julia Berg, Bella, Mace and Brystol Erickson; and his sisters-in-law, JoAnne Smaaladen and Opal Smaaladen.
