It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Grieger of Amenia, North Dakota, who passed away on January 1, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arne Stangeland and Marian Stangeland; her husband Dallas; her siblings, Mary Ann Stangeland and Arne Paul Stangeland; her brothers-in-law, Duane Grieger, Rodney Grieger, Jim Stewart and Elvern Gunderson; and her nephew David Gunderson.
She is survived by: her children, Jeff (Darlene) of Erie, Joel (Kari) of Arnegard, ND, Karen Fosberg (Mike) of Fargo, Kari Pfingsten (Billy) of Davenport, ND and Kristi McCloud (Ron) of Halliday, ND; her grandchildren, John (Krystal), Tiffany, Ean (Megan), Peter, Trever Grieger, Jacob, Sara Grieger, Livia, Brodie, Joshua, Avonlee Pfingsten, Kelsey and Ben McCloud; her sister Shirley Gunderson of Bejou, MN; and her sisters-in-law, Ethel Grieger of Fargo, Sylvia Stewart of Minneapolis, MN and Shirley Stangeland of Puyallup, WA. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM. A prayer was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the West Funeral Home - Casselton (31 6th Ave N, Casselton, ND 58012). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul's Free Lutheran Church (2802 12th St S, Fargo, ND 58103).
