He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stewart and Agnes Stewart (Murphy); his parents-in-law, Helen and Glen Hay; and his niece Amber Grindeland (Kelly Sivertson).
He is survived by: his wife Ardis Stewart; his stepchild Whitney; his sisters, Frances Grindeland (Rich), Geri Stewart, Kathy Sivertson (Doug Dahlien), Lauretta Anderson (Jeff) and Peggy Stauffer (Kenny); his grandchildren, Nash and Evan Montonye; and his nieces and nephews, Jodi Passler (Sean), Kristy Gessner (Josh), McKenzie Sivertson, Kirsten Anderson, Aaron Michael Anderson (Liv Masline), Cody Stewart Stauffer, Danielle Stauffer and Jordan Stauffer. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; great-great nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM at the Everson Coughlin Funeral Home Chapel (112 4th St E, Williston, ND 58801). A rosary was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Boniface Catholic Church (300 East St, Grenora, ND 58845).
