It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Alexander Jones of Zirconia, North Carolina, who passed away on February 23, 2022, at the age of 60, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his brother Leslie "Les" Jones III. He is survived by: his parents, Leslie "Sonny" Jones and Helen Osteen Jones; his wife Kathy Jones; his children, Mindy Jones of Boone, NC and Michael "Mikey" Jones of Washington State; the mother of his children Lisa Jones; his son Toby Johnson (Cyndi McCarson Johnson) of Mooresville, NC; his stepdaughters, Morgan Drake and Mattie Drake; his stepgrandsons, Christopher, Solomon and Simon; and his sister Michelle Jones. He is also survived by niece and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mikey's honor may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
