He was predeceased by: his parents, Tillman McCarson and Stella Jones McCarson; his former wife Marie L. McCarson; and his sister Velma Mae Talley. He is survived by: his daughters, Elizabeth McCarson Austin, DeLynn McCarson Cook and Julie Paige McCarson; and his sons-in-law, Reverend Terry Austin and Johnyn Cook. He is also survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
