He was predeceased by: his parents, John Runyan Ward and Minnie Caldonia Levi; his siblings, Clarence Ward, Jay Lee Ward, Mae Ward Johnson and Ruth Ward; and his son Arnold Wyatt Ward.
He is survived by: his wife Dollie Jackson Ward; his children, Edward Sherman Ward (Lisa) of Zirconia, Norma Ward Mullinax (Jerry) of Hendersonville and June Ward Beddingfield (Ben) of Zirconia; and his sisters, Jannine Ward Simpson (Lawrence) of Hendersonville and Geneva Ward Bollinger of Zirconia.
