She was predeceased by: her parents, Wade McKinney and Nannie McKinney of Mills River; her husband Chester C. Wirtz; and her sisters, Ruby Tinsley, Lucy Messer, Margaret Gillespie and Hazel Reese.
She is survived by: her daughter Gretchen W. Williams (Roger) of Zirconia, NC; and her stepson Evan Williams. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and their children.
