She was predeceased by: her parents, Grady Merrell and Molly Merrell; her brother Francis Merrell; and her brother-in-law Wade Nelon. She is survived by: her husband Ken Reid; her children, Amanda Reid (Jonathan Higginbotham) and Caleb Reid (Kelsey Francis Reid) of Hendersonville, NC; her grandchildren, Cora Reid and Reid Higginbotham; and her siblings, Vickie Nelon and Grady Merrell (GB).
