Mildred Ward Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Mildred Ward (Zionville, North Carolina), who passed away on January 29, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tom William Sanders and Juanita Dancy Sanders; her husband Junior C. Ward; her parents-in-law, Edd and Hazel Tester Ward; her sisters, Lucy Reece and Mary Ann Potter; and her nephew Thomas Lane Reece.
She is survived by: her sisters, Linda Sanders Conville and Sylvia Sanders Hammons (Bill); her nephew Shane Reece (Rita); her niece Heidi Kerley (Don); her great-nieces, Christie Joiner (Steve) and Keesha Rhudy (Jesse); her great-nephew Sam Kerley; and also, Stephen, Jayden Joiner, Carter and Maddex Rhudy.
A graveside service was held on Sunday, February 2nd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery (9269 US-421, Zionville, NC 28698).
