She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Thurmond and Eula Ruby Shepard Smith; her children, Richard Eggers and Peggy Smith; and her brothers, Harry and Jack Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Oley L. Eggers; her children, Teresa Faris of Fort Lawn, SC, Tim Eggers (Grace) of Statesville and Billy Eggers of Kershaw, SC; her sister Doris Dawson of Amelia, OH.; and her grandchildren, Libby Cope (Ron) of Tampa, FL, Erika Carroll (Nathan) of Holly Springs, Keri Eggers (Steve) of Chino Valley, AZ, Aaron Eggers (Joy) of Griffith, Indiana, Joshua Eggers (Jazmine) of Statesville and Luke Eggers (Natalie) of Kingman, AZ. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.
