He was predeceased by: his parents, Coy Wiley Harmon and Della Oakes Harmon; his siblings, Dewight Harmon, Albert Harmon, Roy Harmon, Dean Harmon, Hazel Isaacs, JoAnne Triplett, Mary Lynn Hodges and Peggy Harmon; and his great grandchild Henry Dale Ellis.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Greene Harmon; his children, Ronnie Lee Harmon of Silverstone, Roger Caroll Harmon of Key West, Robbie Steven Harmon (Lora) of Jacksonville, Florida and DeRhonda Ellis (Dale) of Silverstone; his grandchildren, Shawn Harmon, Cody Ellis, Emma Ellis, Carley Ellis, Cole Steven Harmon and Kiara Livy Harmon; his great grandchild Elijah Rhett Ellis; his siblings, Odell Harmon (Pat) of Evington, Virginia, Louella Dotson (Bill) of Trade and Janice Brooks (Darrell) of West Jefferson; his brother-in-law Wilson Greene (Louise) of Silverstone; and his close friend Judy Hicks of Vilas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
